Compromise

We need to compromise on issues that are non-essential. Objective straight chiropractic needs to say what is essential and what is not, what we will compromise on and what we will not.

  1. Can we afford wasting precious time with non-essentials in chiropractic?

  2. What are Chiropractic non-essentials? As OSC we Locate, Analyze, Correct VS and educate the public about an ADIO lifestyle. I don't see any non-essentials there.
Or are you referring to things that are done on top of or instead of the above actions? Such as extremity adjusting, PT, rehab, "nutritional counseling", teeth whitening, laser hair removal and others? Should be compromise on those non-essentials?
Is it wrong for a OS DC to follow LACE and THEN do rehab, PT, etc.? Or are we the sole owners of VS correction?

  3. Sometimes we just assume that everyone knows what we are talking about. By non essential I mean things that warrant discussion but not going to the wall over. Taking x-rays are one, instrumentation, another, the way we analyze and adjust is valuble discussion but not valuble to argue over. As Claude points out wasting time is not valuble but sometimes discussing them can help our understanding, especially when it comes to separating the non-essentials from the essentially nots,(things other than LACVS). Ones that MAY merit discussion for some: doing neuro/ortho tests to determine VS or spine straightening techniques to correct them. Sorry if I caused confusion.

  4. Joseph, Chiropractic is: PHILOSOPHY (with its major premise which is our start point and 32 deducted minor principles from that major premise), SCIENCE (with its body of knowledge {which grows with time} and methods {known thus far based its the latest knowledge} for the LACVS...) and ART (with its expression through ALL the individual chiropractors for the LACVS)...
We observe that Chiropractic patterns the TRIUNE OF LIFE which is: intelligence force and matter. INTELLIGENCE is always 100%, creating 100% FORCE. This leaves ONLY MATTER which is where we find the imperfection. Therefore, Joseph, do you think it's reasonable and logical to deduct that the non-essentials will be found at the level of science (with it's limited knowledge) and art (with it's unlimited possibilities and potentialities) which is the less than perfect expression of the 33 essential principles?
If so, why not choosing to spend precious time telling the story over and over again, planting essential seeds for the transformation of the world.... then as the harvest grows through that transformation, the non-essentials will change and clarify themselves one way or another?
